"Do Hard Things"?? Misa makes sure we get plenty of that!!

So, Misa had us do another "Hard Thing" yesterday!

We have all these mangos and they need to be sold before they get too ripe....so Misa took us to Valle Dorado (an area in Nuevo Vallarta) on a very busy entrance road to the area and we stationed ourselves with signs and sold mango on the streets the way the locals do. Well, sort of the way locals do. We just couldn't bring ourselves to rush up to the windows of each car on each side and shove the bags of mango in their faces!!

At same time we were handing out Gospel Tracts to the children and to the adults as they passed by on foot...we probably passed out around 300 tracts in 3 hours!!

We sold quite a few mangos actually. Around 35 bags at $10 pesos each (we later found out that we practically gave it away but that is okay). Not much money for 3 hours of work with 4 people and the gas to drive 30mins each way!! That is what a lot of people survive off of here though!

It gave us a new perspective on things and was very humbling! We would rather hand out tracks any day than to sell mango on the street!

One lady actually came up to me and in Spanish said that I should have some respect for me and the girls because we are very pretty. In other words we are white and should have some dignity and therefore not sell stuff! We had expected something like that as it is not the norm for white people to do this type of thing. At least we were selling them at an unreal price!
