Dishonest and Corrupt Business

The people that Misa worked for on the painting jobs have already ripped him off. They only payed him part of the money. The reason being is because the owners only payed them part of the money. The guy (a supposed Christian) told him that the only way to do business and make it in Mexico is to rip people off. You get ripped off and the way you get it back is by ripping someone else off.

Misa told him that he is not here to do that and would not do his business in that way. The guy told him that there is nothing wrong with it that is just the way things are here!!

That night Misa got a phone call from his parents in Vancouver. Someone broke into our house and garage and stole the rest of everything that we owned!!! We still had stuff that his parents were going to liquidate for us in the house.

Oh, well it's not really ours right? It all belongs to God and He can do what he likes with it.

Misa commented on how lonely it feels out here in a country that seems so corrupt. I agree! Yeah, corruption is all around even in the States but it feels so much worse here. It can feel very discouraging at times but we know that we are here to shed light in a dark place and God will shine!! Amen
